Psalm 151 is about David from the story of David and Goliath. It is 3 part book and it has short verses.
In the following paragraphs, I will be sharing 3 things:
1. What did I realize?
2. What confused me?
3. How can I incorporate it into my life?
Before I answer the questions, I want to state the key learnings of the book. First, you don't need to be special in order to gain God's favor. Second, praise God using your own abilities. Just as David used his lyre to praise God, we must use our unique gifts from God to praise Him.
The book had 3 chapters where the first 2 were different stories and the third chapter was a consolidation of the first two. I couldn't help but ask, "why did they have to merge it in the last chapter??". Anyway, it was a pretty straightforward story and after reading it, I thought I didn't learn anything. It was more like a reminder that God has eyes for all of us. He's listening to our prayers, our fears, our worries, our thoughts. He's always watching. He's patiently waiting to see how we reach His big plans for us. Just like David whom God took him from the sheep and made a ruler. David did not think highly of himself. He looked up to his brothers and he thought that God will choose them.
I believe that this was God's way of telling me that nothing is permanent and He can change everything in the blink of an eye.
