ASHFALL PREPAREDNESS
Yesterday, Taal Volcano has been declared Alert Level 4. As of today, other cities up North have been affected with the ash fall. Due to the price hike and unavailability of dust masks or N95 masks, I came up with DIY Dust Mask. Hope it helps and STAY SAFE!
What you need:
1 Handkerchief
1 string (long enough to tie around your head)
*source of water (required!) *additional cloth (optional)
STEP 1: Fold the handkerchief in half to form a triangle
STEP 2: Position the string in the middle of the handkerchief
STEP 3: Fold the handkerchief to form another triangle
!!!MUST!!! Dampen with clean water the part of the handkerchief that covers your nose and mouth
HOW DO I TIE THE DUST MASK?
Just like a regular dust mask, the string is tied above the ear while the handkerchief extremes are tied at the nape.
!!!MUST!!!
The handkerchief MUST be damp
***OPTIONAL***
You can add an additional layer of cloth under the second triangle if you want more filter.
